Schools can and do teach children the face value of coins and currency - but that doesn’t transform them into savers or investors, and teaching a child how to balance a checkbook doesn’t impart enough knowledge to create a retirement plan. In order to successfully make their way through contemporary life and make reasoned decisions about issues that affect us all, today’s children must graduate from high school economically and financially literate. |
